PENDEKATAN TEORI PESTALOZZI DALAM TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN KARAKTER ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstrak

Artikel  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengeksplorasi  keterkaitan  pendekatan  teori  Pestalozzi  dalam  pengembangan  karakter  anak  di  Sekolah  Dasar  melalui  analisis  filosofi  dan  konsep.  Pendekatan  ini  mengedepankan  pengintegrasian  yang  seimbang  dari  aspek  pikiran,  perasaan,  dan  keterampilan  sebagai  fondasi  dalam  pertumbuhan  moral,  kemampuan  intelektual,  serta  keterampilan  praktis  anak-anak.  Dengan  melakukan  tinjauan  pustaka  terhadap  tulisan-tulisan  Pestalozzi  serta  kajian  dari  akademisi  di  Indonesia  dan  negara-negara  Barat,  penelitian  ini  menunjukkan  bahwa  pendidikan  karakter  yang  sukses  seharusnya  menjadikan  anak  sebagai  individu  yang  aktif,  belajar  melalui  pengalaman  yang  nyata,  hubungan  emosional  yang  hangat,  serta  pembiasaan  yang  berkesinambungan.  Temuan  dari  studi  ini  memperlihatkan  bahwa  pendekatan  Pestalozzi  sejalan  dengan  prinsip-prinsip  pendidikan  nasional,  khususnya  Kurikulum  Merdeka  dan  Projek  Penguatan  Profil  Pelajar  Pancasila  (P5),  yang  keduanya  menekankan  pentingnya  pembelajaran  yang  kontekstual,  bersifat  humanis,  dan  berbasis  pada  proyek.  Selain  itu,  pendekatan  ini  juga  sesuai  dengan  pandangan  Ki  Hadjar  Dewantara  tentang  pendidikan  yang  menghargai  martabat  manusia  sebagai  individu.  Artikel  ini  menyimpulkan  bahwa  teori  Pestalozzi  bukan  hanya  signifikan  secara  historis,  tetapi  juga  memberi  sumbangan  pemikiran  dan  praktik  untuk  pengembangan  karakter  siswa  Sekolah  Dasar  dalam  lingkungan  pendidikan  di  Indonesia.  Implementasi  dari  prinsip  pikiran,  perasaan,  dan  keterampilan  dapat  menjadi  model  strategis  dalam  merancang  program  pembelajaran  yang  komprehensif,  berorientasi  humanis,  dan  berkelanjutan.
